1. Convene meeting
Ms. Gina Calabrese, Board Chair, called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
2. Discussion and possible action on Personnel Policy #Sec. 5-2 as it relates to the Judson Principal candidate pool. (See Attachment A.)
Ms. Mary Colangelo, made a motion, seconded by Mr. Kevin Killeen, to waive Board of Education Policy 5-2 as it relates to 3 candidates moving forward with appointing a principal to Judson School.
Motion passed unanimously.
3. Executive Session
Mr. Richard Mazzamaro, made a motion, seconded by Mr. Kevin Killeen, to enter into Executive Session at 6:46 p.m. to interview candidates and deliberate for the position of Principal of Judson School.
Motion passed unanimously.
All Board Members listed as present, Ms. Karen Baldwin, Superintendent of Schools, Mr. Thad Hasbrouck, Ms. Lisa Rommel, and Ms. Lori Shuhi entered into executive session.
4. Regular Session
The meeting came out of Executive Session at 8:55 p.m.
Motion made by Mr. Kevin Killeen, seconded by Mr. Todd Griffin, to appoint Ms. Lisa Rommel to the position of Principal of Judson School effective August 25, 2008.
Motion passed unanimously.
5. Adjourn meeting
Motion made by Ms. Mary Colangelo, seconded by Mr. Richard Mazzamaro, to adjourn the Special Board of Education meeting at 8:55 p.m.
