a. Ms. Paulina Auclair to the position of Yearbook Advisor at Watertown High School for the 2007-2008 school year at a contractual stipend of $1,953.00.
b. Ms. Leah Bellemare to the position of Co-Student Council Advisor at Watertown High School for the 2007-2008 school year at a contractual stipend of $930.00.
c. Mr. Matthew Geary to the position of Interim Principal At Watertown High School effective October 9, 2007.
d. Ms. Michelle Goldfarb to the position of Co-Junior Class Advisor at Watertown High School for the 2007-2008 school year at a contractual stipend of $465.50.
e. Mr. Thad Hasbrouck to the position of Director of Curriculum and Professional Services effective October 9, 2007 at an annual salary of $123,937.00 prorated.
f. Ms. Lynn Karr-Hasler to the position of Co-School to Career Club Advisor for the 2007-2008 school year at a contractual stipend of $2,000.00.

j. Mr. Todd LoFrese to the position of Assistant Superintendent of Schools effective October 9, 2007 at an annual salary of $123,937.00 prorated.
k. Ms. Melinda Lutter to the position of School Psychologist at Swift Middle School effective October 1, 2007, being hired on Step 3, with 2 years of teaching experience, with a Sixth Year Degree, at a contractual salary of $44,999.00.
l. Ms. Louisa Monti-Bovi to the position of Co-Newspaper Advisor at Watertown High School for the 2007-2008 school year at a contractual stipend of $819.50.
m. Ms. Kendra O’Brien to the position of Distributive Education Club Advisor at Watertown High School for the 2007-2008 school year at a contractual stipend of $1,229.00.
n. Ms. Kendra O’Brien to the position of Co-Junior Class Advisor at Watertown High School for the 2007-2008 school year at a contractual stipend of $465.50.
o. Ms. Lynn Steinbrick to the position of Assistant Clinical Instructor for the Nurse’s Aide Program at Watertown High School effective for the 2007-2008 school year. The hours of work for this program are Monday and Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the hourly rate of $22.15 per hour.
p. Mr. Dane Street to the position of Honor Society Advisor at Watertown High School for the 2007-2008 school year at the contractual stipend of $1,639.00.
q. Ms. Sharon Veatch to the position of Co-Student Council Advisor at Watertown High School for the 2007-2008 school year at the contractual stipend of $930.00.
r. Ms. Joan Zimmerman to the position of Future Business Leaders Association Advisor at Watertown High School for the 2007-2008 school year at the contractual stipend of $2,092.00.
s. Mr. Daniel Zoni to the position of Co-Newspaper Advisor at Watertown High School for the 2007-2008 school year at the contractual stipend of $819.50.
2. Transfers – (Information Only – No Action Required)
a. Mr. Rodney Clark from custodian third shift at Watertown High School to custodian second shift at Swift Middle School effective September 18, 2007 for 8.0 hours paid per day at an hourly rate of $18.53.
3. Overview of Test Results
A report will be given tonight by Dr. Philip A. Pelosi in relation to our students’ test scores. The tests that will be discussed are the Connecticut Mastery Test (Grades 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8), the Otis-Lennon Test (Grades 2, 4, 7, 9), and the Connecticut Academic Performance Test (Grade 10).
4. Transfer of Funds – (Information Only – No Action Required)
At its meeting on November 22, 2004, the Board took action to reaffirm that the Director of Budget and Financial Planning may continue to make transfers of $2,000 or less between objects without prior Board approval. Attached, for information only, are a number of those transfers. (See Attachment A.)

J. Action Items – Adoption of Items to be Approved by Consent
a. Consideration of the Approval of Robotics’ Advisor Stipend – Second Reading
The stipend for the Robotics’ Advisor for the 2007-2008 school year for $1,639.00, as per an agreement with the Watertown Education Association on November 14, 2006, was presented to the full Board for the first reading at its meeting on September 24, 2007. Payment of this stipend will come from the Advertising Line Item. It is presented tonight for the second reading and for full Board approval. (See Attachment B.)
It is recommended that the Board approve of the stipend for the Robotics’ Advisor for the 2007-2008 school year for $1,639.00 as per an agreement with the Watertown Education Association on November 14, 2007.
b. Consideration of the Approval of the Acceptance of Gifts
1. The Watertown Foundation, Inc. would like to donate $692.22 to the Heminway Hoops Basketball Program for equipment.
2. The Watertown Foundation, Inc. would like to donate $1,860.00 to Watertown High School for a portable switcher for mobile video production outside the school.
3. Ms. Ann Page would like to donate a set of Yamaha Quads, c.1995-2000 with an estimated value of $700.00 to the Watertown Public Schools’ Music Department to be used by the Marching Band.
It is recommended that the Board approve of the acceptance of these generous gifts and letters of appreciation to be sent to the donors.
c. Consideration of the Approval to Waive Board of Education Policy Personnel – General, BOE Approved May 27, 2003, Sec. 5-2
It is recommended that the Board vote to approve to waive Board of Education Policy Personnel – General, BOE Approved May 27, 2003, Sec. 5-2. (See Attachment C.)
